Ellie needed Blossom.

Ellie lives in the middle of a large, busy, lively family. Out of the blue, when she was six, Ellie developed asthma. There didn't seem to be any reason for it and the whole family was frightened by seeing her being unable to breathe.

After watching a television programme made in conjunction with Allergy UK, her parents realised that the family home itself might be causing her symptoms.

With advice from Allergy UK, they made changes to the flooring and soft furnishings in their home to reduce house dust mite. Ellie's symptoms reduced dramatically and although she keeps an inhaler with her, she no longer needs to use it as often as before.

 We aim to provide practical help to anyone caring for a child so that they can identify and understand how allergy can develop and how it can minimised.
